French online retail traffic grew Year-over-Year on both desktop computers and mobile devices, according to a new SimilarWeb report, Online Retailers in France: Yearly Review.
The data revealed that France lags behind its online competitors in the US, UK, and Germany when it comes to the share of smartphones and tablets driving visits to retailers.
Only a few shopping verticals saw significant YoY desktop and mobile web traffic growth. These online retail categories included Flowers as well as Home and Garden.
Perhaps more than any other traffic source, display advertising failed to deliver significant French visits to online retailers in 2015, plummeting dramatically.
