Homage to our German Fans

Here at the SimilarWeb HQ we are overwhelmed with the amazing press coverage and feedback we receive every day. Since we launched SimilarWeb in January a lot has happened – we’ve added new features such as ‘Display Advertising Insights’, SimilarWeb Traffic Widgets and launched our new API site.

We receive feedback and coverage from around the world as the power of our global traffic insights are regularly picked up by journalists and business analysts to understand and measure web activity. Germany in particular has been the source of many great pieces of coverage and we’re delighted to have a devoted legion of fans which are worth a mention. And a big THANK YOU!

The marketing mavericks at marketingfish.de chose SimilarWeb as April’s ‘StartUp of the Month’ and wrote an amazing piece that you can read here.

Soon after, our friend Herbert Peck from ISHP Consulting wrote two great blog posts about the power of SimilarWeb as a research tool to monitor the pulse of your competition. The visuals to go with it were amazing too!

Top marketing blogs OnlineMarketing.de did another great pieces which even described us as a ‘killer’ in the industry.

Meedia.de is the leading Media site in Germany and used SimilarWeb’s data to discover ‘The Kings of SEO‘ for the online press industry in Germany. What’s more, their Editor Jens Schroder used SimilarWeb’s insights in FTOJ, a leading conference for online journalists – many encouraging tweets followed his presentation which you can watch here.

Finally, we also received great coverage on Bild.de and Stern.de, two of the biggest publications in Germany which covered the massive story of Tumblr’s ‘adult’ traffic when it was acquired by Yahoo. SimilarWeb data revealed that 11.4% of Tumblr’s content are what they call in German “schmuddelinhalt” – filthy.
