Cool New Features for Media Buyers

We’re excited to announce the launch of new features in our Ad Creative section on SimilarWeb PRO, which is guaranteed to make your life as an advertiser that much easier.

Up until now, we’ve been able to show you the ad networks, publishers and ads your competitors are using. Now, In addition to seeing your competitors’ top banners, you’ll also be able to see:

  • When these banners were viewed
  • Which landing pages the banners led to.

Identifying the ‘First Seen’ & ‘Last Seen’ Dates

This option will tell you when the banner was first launched, and whether it’s still running. This kind of information can help you gain insight into the banner’s performance. For instance, if a banner has been running for a long time, it’s probably performing well. If it started running and then stopped after a short time (and it’s not designated for a specific short-term promotion), it might not be a very good banner to learn from.

We’ve including a sorting option so you can sort the banners by their last and first seen date. This way you can get an instant view of your competitors’ most recent or oldest display campaigns for comparison with other SimilarWeb metrics. Compare to visits and engagement from Display Advertising, popular pages, and change in direct traffic – which indicates brand awareness.


Discovering the Landing Page for Each Banner

With this feature you’ll be able to learn about the complete campaign strategy of your competitor and answer questions such as:

  • Was the landing page designed in the same way as the banner?
  • Were the CTAs the same on the banner and the landing page?
  • (For enterprise users) – Did this specific page get a lot of traffic, which indicates the creative was successful in its aim?

All of these new features are now available thanks to our new partnership with AdClarity, a media intelligence tool.
