The data was collected by examining the top publishers and publications based on combining desktop and mobile page-views in the U.S in 2015. Not all of the publishers and publications are American-owned but, instead, they represent the most read media in the U.S. In the lists below, you will find the top 50 publishers and publications along with a link to discover the next largest in each category.


These top media publishers are headlined by MSN who top the list with over 27 billion page-views. Next on the top publishers is Disney Media Networks who own huge publications such as,, and several more.




These top 10 publishers make up a huge chunk of the U.S. media market and own almost half of the entire industry. When compared to the next 140 biggest publishers, these top 10 take a full 47% of the traffic share.

Looking at the top publications, all 10 are well known websites, and are again led by, with their over 27 billion desktop and mobile page-views. Of these page-views, 67% came from desktop computers and 33% from mobile devices. This trend holds true for most other publications in the top 10, except which had 63% of its traffic from mobile devices.

Buzzfeed is a good example of a media publication that gets most its traffic from mobile devices, but is not the most mobile website among the top publications. That distinction belongs to Spanish language Of Univision’s 1.1 billion page-views, a whopping 78% came from mobile devices. The list below details the top 10 publications ranked on mobile traffic share. Interestingly, of the top 10, 3 are Spanish languages sites.
