The site launched at the end of November, attracting about 153,000 visits in the last few days of that month and 266 million visits in December.<\/li>\n<li>The site attracts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/insights\/ai-news\/chatgpt-bing\/\">about as many visitors as the Bing search engine<\/a> \u2013 actually more if we exclude subdomains of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/website\/bing.com\">bing.com<\/a>. The main bing.com domain attracted 831 million visits worldwide in February. Bing is piloting embedded ChatGPT capabilities, but only for an audience of beta testers.<\/li>\n<li>ChatGPT is sometimes framed as a threat not just to Bing but to Google \u2013 even though it\u2019s not exactly a search engine \u2013 but ChatGPT\u2019s 1 billion visits compares with 68 billion for the main <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/website\/google.com\/\">google.com<\/a> domain alone (not including subdomains like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/website\/maps.google.com\/\">maps.google.com<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The growth of ChatGPT<\/h2>\n<p>From a standing start in November, ChatGPT topped 1 billion visits in February from 153 million <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/research\/market-research\/unique-visitors\/\">unique visitors<\/a>.
