The Android app scene in the US keeps changing every month. In August 2025, Meta is still on top when it comes to social networking, but I noticed some interesting shifts when I reviewed Similarweb\u2019s Android app ranking<\/a>\u00a0tool. Shopping apps are pushing harder, finance apps remain strong, and even productivity tools are starting to show up in the top rankings. AI apps are finding their spot as well, while competition between e-commerce platforms is heating up.<\/p>\n

Once again, Facebook tops the list with 59.4 million people opening the app every day. Even with new apps popping up and user habits changing, it still holds its spot thanks to Meta\u2019s ecosystem. For many, Facebook is still the go-to place to check in with family, keep up with communities, and scroll through content.<\/p>\n
