We used Similarweb\u2019s <strong>Last 7 Days Keyword Filter<\/strong>, to see the latest, freshest data about consumer trends, and we were not disappointed. Summer keywords have taken off!<\/p>\n<p>Although we used this new filter to discover the latest trends, you will be able to analyze any one-week period. For example, if you aren\u2019t interested in which summer keywords are most popular you could analyze any 7-day period such as the week leading up to Christmas or New Years.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a peak at the insights that you could have at your fingertips with this new filter. Enjoy!<\/p>\n<h2>Walmart\u2019s Keyword Traffic: America\u2019s One-Stop-Shop<\/h2>\n<p>We began by taking a look at which keywords <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/website\/wallmart.com\/\">Walmart<\/a> was using to win traffic organically and via paid campaigns. We quickly saw that consumers were preparing for hot summer weather, which caused keywords like <em>portable air conditioners<\/em>, <em>swimming pools<\/em>, and <em>patio furniture<\/em> to surge during the 7 days analyzed. When <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/website\/\">analyzing web traffic<\/a> from these popular terms, we saw they grew by 79%, 76%, and 20% respectively.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-36440 size-full\" title=\"Walmart\u2019s last 7 days Keyword Traffic\" src=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-1-1-1.png\" alt=\"Walmart\u2019s last 7 days Keyword Traffic\" width=\"780\" height=\"424\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-1-1-1.png 780w, https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-1-1-1-300x163.png 300w, https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-1-1-1-768x417.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, the increased demand for pool products was rising so quickly that Walmart doubled down on paid pool-related keywords, resulting in more than 200% growth in paid traffic from these keywords alone. Traffic from the keyword above ground pool increased by approximately 227%, closely followed by Intex pool with a 184% increase. However, there was one keyword blowing all others out of the water, so to speak. Traffic from the keyword, pools, has exploded, leading to a 363% increase over the 7-day period.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-36442 size-full\" title=\"Walmart\u2019s last 7 days Keyword Traffic Analysis\" src=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-2-1-1.png\" alt=\"Walmart\u2019s last 7 days Keyword Traffic Analysis\" width=\"769\" height=\"486\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-2-1-1.png 769w, https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-2-1-1-300x190.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 769px) 100vw, 769px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Optimism and Alcohol<\/h2>\n<p>When looking at larger trends in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/top-websites\/e-commerce-and-shopping\/\">retail category<\/a>, one of the first things we noticed was that consumers were hopeful that stores would begin reopening soon. TJX customers are a perfect example of this trend. These optimistic searchers were eager to return to shopping at their beloved TJ Maxx. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/website\/tjmaxx.tjx.com\/\">Traffic to tjx.com<\/a> from the keyword phrase, <em>TJ Maxx Stores Reopening<\/em>, increased by an impressive 133% organically over the 7 days analyzed. During the same time frame, traffic from the phrase, <em>Is TJ Maxx Open<\/em>, grew organically by approximately 206%!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-36444 size-full\" title=\"TJ Maxx last 7 days Keyword Traffic\" src=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-3-1-1.png\" alt=\"TJ Maxx last 7 days Keyword Traffic\" width=\"780\" height=\"443\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-3-1-1.png 780w, https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-3-1-1-300x170.png 300w, https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/image-3-1-1-768x436.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 780px) 100vw, 780px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/website\/drizly.com\/\">Drizly<\/a>, an online liquor store, saw a growing demand from the keyword <em>high noon drink<\/em>\u00a0and other keywords related to alcohol delivery. Traffic from <em>High noon drink<\/em> increased by almost 390% in the 7-day period alone, while traffic from <em>alcohol delivery Baltimore<\/em> grew by an astounding 546% for the same period.
