In this article, we\u2019ll use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/corp\/shopper\/\">Shopper Intelligence<\/a>, our eCommerce intelligence tool to analyze the top 10 best-selling gadgets on Amazon and the trends propelling their success.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a preview of the rankings and some trends we noticed for top-selling gadgets:<\/p>\n<h2>1. Waterproof binoculars score first, despite reviews<\/h2>\n<p>With nearly 300,000 units sold, Stipend\u2019s waterproof binoculars took first place among Amazon\u2019s top-selling electronics in May 2021. Ironically, the product also has the least number of reviews (717) and the lowest product rating (4.3) among all products in our top 10 list. The top 10 products average 206,000 reviews and 4.7-star ratings.<\/p>\n<h3>Why first place?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Low prices:<\/b> It seems like Stilend\u2019s low prices help consumers forgive its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/ecommerce\/amazon-insights\/amazon-product-reviews\/\">review and rating<\/a> metrics. Shopper Intelligence <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/corp\/shopper\/on-site-search-optimization\/\">Amazon&#8217;s on-site search data<\/a> shows that Stilend gets nearly 95% of search clicks for \u201cbinoculars&#8221; and the brand averages a $43.45 unit price \u2013 more than $200 less than competitor brands, averaging $269.04.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-77260 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Emilyf-SW-Blog-Pro-Screenshot-Rebrand-24.png\" alt=\"Stilend's top Amazon keywords (May)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"700\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Emilyf-SW-Blog-Pro-Screenshot-Rebrand-24.png 1200w, https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Emilyf-SW-Blog-Pro-Screenshot-Rebrand-24-300x175.png 300w, https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Emilyf-SW-Blog-Pro-Screenshot-Rebrand-24-1024x597.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Emilyf-SW-Blog-Pro-Screenshot-Rebrand-24-768x448.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Exploding seasonal demand:<\/b> Warm weather also drives Stilend\u2019s binoculars\u2019 popularity. We see that the brands\u2019 performance, including units sold, revenue, product views, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/ecommerce\/retail-insights\/ecommerce-conversion-optimization\/\">conversion rates<\/a> (CVRs) jumps from April to May as the weather gets warmer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-77262 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Emilyf-SW-Blog-Pro-Screenshot-Rebrand-25.png\" alt=\"Best-selling gadgets: Stilend seasonal performance\" width=\"1200\" height=\"700\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Emilyf-SW-Blog-Pro-Screenshot-Rebrand-25.png 1200w, https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Emilyf-SW-Blog-Pro-Screenshot-Rebrand-25-300x175.png 300w, https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Emilyf-SW-Blog-Pro-Screenshot-Rebrand-25-1024x597.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Emilyf-SW-Blog-Pro-Screenshot-Rebrand-25-768x448.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With this seasonal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/corp\/shopper\/consumer-demand\/\">consumer demand<\/a>, we expect Stilend products to be much more popular gifts for Father\u2019s Day than holidays like Christmas, in the colder months.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Samsung\u2019s memory card scores second in the ideal 128GB size<\/h2>\n<p>SAMSUNG: EVO Select <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B0887GP791?th=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">128GB Memory card with adapter<\/a> is the second best-selling product on our list. Offering more space on your devices and a higher speed, this item is soaring in popularity. Compatible with tablets, laptops, action cameras, DSLRs, drones, smartphones, and other devices, the versatile memory card is attractive to a wide range of consumers.<\/p>\n<p>In ninth place, Sandisk\u2019s 128GB memory card also makes our top 10 list. These rankings show that consumers crave a 128GB memory card size.<\/p>\n<p>Sandisk\u2019s 200GB memory card, one size up from 128GB rounds out the top 10 products. Consumers cannot get this size memory card if they want to upsize from 128GB and remain loyal to Samsung\u2019s brand. Instead, Samsung offers a memory card that is more than 25% larger than Sandisk\u2019s option \u2013 256GB. No memory cards of this size make our top 10 list.<\/p>\n<p>These trends indicate that consumers prefer to take \u201cbaby steps\u201d when purchasing products like memory cards and brands should offer products with incremental levels of storage.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Apple products dominate the list<\/h2>\n<p>With 1.75 million products sold in May, Apple is the top Amazon electronics brand. It makes four out of 10 best-selling gadgets on our top 10 list, more than any other.<\/p>\n<p>Of these, airpod products are the most popular. Apple Airpods Pro ranked third and Apple Airpods with charging case, ranked sixth. Both products\u2019 price points, $197 and $132 respectively, are more than double the category average.<\/p>\n<p>However, consumers appear willing to spend more due to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.similarweb.com\/blog\/research\/audience-and-brand-building\/brand-loyalty\/\">strong loyalty<\/a> to the Apple brand. In May, more than 60% of Apple\u2019s search clicks were for branded terms.
