This time around we’ve created a list of 100 UK sites that need website optimization.
In order to create this list, we brought up sites that had the most significant changes in the following key engagement metrics:
- Increase in bounce rate. High bounce rates happen when people enter the site and leave after viewing just one page. High bounce rates occur when sites have low quality, nothing to engage with, and don’t match the audience who ends up there.
- Reduction of time spent on site. A low average time spent on site can suggest low conversion rates.
- Decrease in amount of pages per visit. In order for people to convert, they must visit a few pages within the site (for example putting items in a basket and then visiting a checkout page). Low pages per visit can suggest fewer conversions.
