Lana is a car pooling app for people who want to get to work and back reliably and in comfort avoiding the hustles of public transport .Fuel cost for the vehicle is shared among the occupants making it affordable for everyone.For a little bit more you get to travel easily making this an option between Matatus and Taxi.The app achieves this by allowing you to book an empty seat in your preferred vehicle of a fellow verified commuter that is going towards your destination.Currently focused on Juja-Nairobi Route.If you commute daily from Juja to Nairobi and back welcome to the community also if you would like to offer your car for the service download the app. Once your booking is successful, you are picked by the driver at your location along the route and you get to meet new people and make new connections as you travel to your destination. If you have a vehicle,you have an option of utilising it in the platform to pick up fellow commuters which will offset your fuel cost and other commuting costs or leave it at home and share rides with other commuters to save money without sacrificing comfort. How it works: 1.Customer Once you successfully login into the app, you will be ushered to a map indicating your current location (if location permission has been granted).The first step would be to search for the place where you would like to travel to(destination) and where you would like to be picked up. Then you get a list of vehicles that are going towards that destination,the vacant seats and the ticket price for the seat. At this point, we will calculate the total cost to your destination and check whether you have enough funds for that trip; if not, you will be directed to the payments page where you can load your wallet; otherwise, the booking is successful. When the vehicle departure time comes,you are able to locate it as it comes towards your direction.The contacts are also availed so that you can connect with the driver for pickup. Once you are picked up you enjoy the trip. After the end of the trip, there is a rating system where you can rate the experience. 2.Partner If you signed up as someone who owns a vehicle or operates someone's vehicle, you will also access the homepage after authenticating successfully. You will get a notification once a customer makes a successful booking. On reaching the location of the customer, the customer will be waiting there to get onboard.You will find their contacts in order to connect with them and clarify the pickup point.Once the pickup is successful and the journey ends,the funds are credited to the partners account immediately. At the end of the session, you can rate the customer and the experience. Safety: At Lana, we are committed to the safety of all users on our platform.
