BrightArrow Mobile 2.1 for iOS provides a fast and convenient way to not only launch automated messages (voice, text, email) to lists of recipients that are configured using the BrightArrow Web subscription, but also to receive and view these messages. The app makes use of special features of the iPhone and iPad for streamlined recording and launching of instant mass notification messages. Specifically, the built-in microphone of the iPhone and iPad makes it much faster to create a recorded message than Web users who must record through a phone call. Similarly, playback of a recorded message to the iPhone or iPad speaker allows for a much faster preview, and the date picker control provides for easy selection of message transmission time. This new version also allows users to post social media messages on their Facebook and Twitter accounts as configured through the Web interface. A unique feature to the app is push notifications; users can now send and receive app push notifications as they would any other message type. BrightChat is our automatically configured, two-way instant messaging app used by teachers, coaches, and administrators to send messages to parents, students, and staff.
