In addition to the graph, the internet test will show an estimated connection quality for gaming, VoIP, and video streaming. With the widget, you will always have the most recent network quality values in front of you. For convenience, the program can also vocalize network errors and/or successful pings. The widgets support light and dark themes, and their size can be customized to suit your needs by adjusting the amount of information displayed. The foreground service is required to keep continuous ping monitoring running in the background. The notification is always visible to the user. Users can stop the monitoring at any time from the notification. For Android 14 and above, the app requests permission to show this notification to ensure user awareness and control. This background measurement process represents the core and user-visible functionality of Pingmon, and therefore requires the FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE permission.
