The dealer alternates, and each player receives five cards. The top card of the remaining deck is turned face-up to show the trump suit, with the remainder placed crosswise on the trump card game. The non-dealer starts the first trick. A "trick" is won by the highest card of the suit led, unless the trick contains a trump card, in which case the highest trump card wins.
