It might not be noticeable at first, but sit us down over a cup of coffee and you'll see who is brighter in conversation.   Curator's Notes Our Wood Cups hold a special place in our hearts. Their shape is a loving tribute to the paper cups from our local coffee shop—a staple of our mornings since we opened our store. We set out to faithfully reinterpret this familiar form in a single hand-turned piece of wood, aiming to capture the same feeling in our hands and on our lips. The cup’s thin edges make it light yet durable, while a subtle protective coating prevents staining, ensuring that it remains as practical as it is beautiful. Now available in a vibrant Vermillion Urushi and White Urushi finish, these latest editions are a true testament to our collaborative spirit. The White Urushi was chosen for its elegant look, perfectly complementing a cup of coffee, while the Vermillion reflects the traditional hues of urushi lacquerware. This project has been a labor of love, a perfect example of how we thrive on working closely with makers to blend different philosophies and cultures.
