Nasce ad Ala (Trento) nel 1955. Si diploma in trombone al Conservatorio di Trento e, sempre allo stesso Conservatorio, consegue il diploma in strumentazione per banda sotto la guida del Maestro Daniele Carnevali. Come strumentista ha fatto parte della Brass Band e della Grande Banda Rappresentativa della Federazione dei Corpi Bandistici della Provincia di Trento ed attualmente suona l’euphonium nella Trentino Wind Band. Ha seguito corsi di direzione per banda sotto la guida di diversi mastri, fra cui J. Coops, J. Cober, J. van der Roost e D. Carnevali. Dal 1980 dirige la banda sociale di Mori-Brentonico (Trento) con la quale ha ottenuto importanti riconoscimenti a concorsi internazionali, tra cui: nel 1991 il 2° posto al concorso di Brno (Cecoslovacchia), nel 1993 il 2° posto al concorso “Flicorno d’Oro” di Riva del Garda (Trento) e nel 1998 il 1° posto assoluto al concorso “La bacchetta d'Oro” di Frosinone. | Flavio Vicentini

Here is a poem about it: The old smell of air coming faintly through the spring crack in the snow above a hibernating bear’s winter den, the smell of long self-absorption, burrowing into one’s own chest, re-breathing the exhales of one’s own breath, the smell of squinting in the dark ruminating in dreams beneath layering years, the snow still falling. In the dark smoldering slowly burning through all the old clothes, sifting through the ash, wiping old shedded fur from the eyes nosing out into the light. In that brief moment when the airs of the past and present meet, at the mouth of the open bed, egoic solidity burns away in the spring wind, self becomes fuel, there is only now and the past is a dream burning off.
