GIP VISION is an app for working with construction projects in augmented reality and on site. Place IFC models (.ifc) in real space with accurate scale and coordinate alignment — and compare design to as-built directly on the jobsite. AR models on the jobsite: - measure “as-built vs design” deviations with a virtual ruler; - set out and mark up future structures, systems, and networks; - pre-check equipment placement and potential clashes on site; - view models in a semi-transparent mode over the real environment; - anchor the model in space — it stays in the same place when you move between rooms. LiDAR SLAM Scanner: GIP VISION now supports LiDAR-based 3D scanning of rooms and objects: - the scanner is available for free without signing in (right from the login screen); - create 3D scans and save them as PLY; - view scans in 3D (convert to USDZ and open with the standard QuickLook viewer); - save large scans to external USB storage; - choose scan density: faster or more detailed; - improved scanning controls (swipes, progress indicator); - rename scans after saving. Scan management and sharing - a dedicated management screen: search, sorting, grouping; - three storage locations: server / device / USB; - full set of actions: view, rename, delete, upload to server; - server sync with uploaded-scan status indicators; - sharing: send PLY files or Web Viewer links.
