5G Network & Device Check vs. Opensignal - 5G, 4G Speed Test Utilizzo e statistiche

5G Network & Device Check helps you verify if your phone supports 5G NR, common bands (e.g., n78/n28), and SA/NSA modes. Use quick links to open Settings and switch between 5G / 4G / LTE where supported. FEATURES 5G compatibility check: device, software & radio readiness. SA/NSA detection: Standalone and Non-Standalone capability (when exposed). NR bands insight: highlights bands such as n78 and n28 when the device reports them. Quick settings shortcuts: open Mobile Network & Preferred Network Type screens. Advanced network stats: signal strength and current data network type. Dual-SIM aware: view SIM-wise status. Lightweight: no root required. HOW IT WORKS The app reads system-exposed telephony information to assess 5G support and provides shortcuts to the relevant settings so you can select 5G/4G/LTE on compatible devices and networks. NOTES & LIMITATIONS 5G availability depends on hardware, firmware, carrier plan, and local coverage. Some devices/carriers hide or lock network options; the app cannot enable 5G on unsupported phones or areas. Band and SA/NSA details may be limited by your device’s APIs and software version. On many phones, 5G works only on one SIM at a time. FOR INDIA Common 5G bands include n78 (3300–3800 MHz) and n28 (700 MHz). Results may vary by device and operator (e.g., Jio, Airtel, Vi). This app helps you verify whether your device exposes support for these bands and modes. PRIVACY No root required. The app uses standard Android telephony APIs and device settings. We do not modify network configuration beyond opening the relevant settings screens. FEEDBACK Questions, ideas, or bug reports? Please leave a review—your feedback helps us improve future updates.

Try our NEW Connectivity Assistant feature using the “Connectivity Test” button! Opensignal is a free to use, advert free mobile connectivity and network signal speed test app. Connectivity Test & Assistant Experiencing a network issue? Not sure what to do? Try running the new Connectivity Test. If an issue is discovered, the Connectivity Assistant will give you helpful tips on how to address the problem. Speed test for mobile and Wifi internet Opensignal speed tests measure your mobile connectivity and signal strength. Opensignal runs a 5 second download test, 5 second upload test and a ping test to provide a consistently accurate measurement of the internet speed you will likely experience. The speed test runs on common internet CDN servers. The internet speed result is calculated with the middle range of samples. Video playback test Slow video load time? Video buffering? More time waiting than watching? Opensignal’s video test plays a 15 sec video snippet to test and log load time, buffering, and playback speed issues in real-time to show you exactly what to expect with HD and SD videos on your network. Connectivity and speed test coverage map Always know where to find the best coverage and fastest speeds with Opensignal’s network coverage map. The map shows signal strength down to street level using speed test and signal data from local users. With network stats on local network operators, you can check coverage ahead of a trip, check the internet and download strength in remote areas, compare your network to other providers in the area, arrange the best local SIM. Cell tower compass The cell tower compass allows you to see which direction the closest or strongest signal is coming from, enabling you to more accurately use broadband and signal boosting technology. Note: The cell tower compass uses aggregate data and accuracy issues can occur in certain areas. We’re striving to improve this feature and thank you for your patience. Connection availability stats Opensignal records the time you’ve spent on 3G, 4G, 5G, WiFi or had no signal at all. This allows you to see where you are getting the service you’re paying for from your network provider. If not, use this data and the individual speed tests to highlight connectivity and signal issues to your mobile network operator.
