The MTS is published to meet the needs of: those responsible for or interested in the cash position of the Treasury; those who are responsible or interested in the Government's budget results; and individuals and businesses whose operations depend upon or are related to the Government's financial operations.   Monthly Statement of the Public Debt (MSPD)  The Monthly Statement of the Public Debt (MSPD) provides data designed to advise the public on the status of government borrowing. The MSPD is comprised of five tables reflecting various forms of financial information vital to government borrowing and the financial market, including summary and detail information regarding outstanding Treasury securities, and information regarding the statutory debt limit. The MSPD is published on the fourth business day of each month.
