Overview The Really Right Stuff VYCE® (vice) is designed to securely hold user equipment when conventional RRS custom mounts and plates are not compatible. The VYCE® is machined from a solid block of aircraft grade aluminum, designed and manufactured in Lehi, UT. The VYCE® is an all-purpose clamping mount, and is specifically designed to enhance the accuracy potential of a tripod mounting interface. The VYCE® mounting feature allows existing equipment, typically without pre-existing mounting ports, to be securely mounted to tripods and ball heads while still maintaining consistent performance with your RRS support system. The VYCE® possesses features all new to RRS. It is fully ambidextrous, possessing inward angled jaws that wedge equipment into the clamp to further improve grip. With a double start thread allowing both jaws to move together, it allows a center of balance for products 1" to 3" wide. The textured rubber pads are designed to create maximum surface area grip with whatever is placed inside. The bottom of the VYCE® has two 3/8" mounting accessory ports for use with RRS quick-release plates. In addition to direct mounting to tripods and ball heads (using included flanged button head screw), the VYCE® can also be fitted with standard video plates (requires 1/4"-20 bushing, not included). The VYCE® is CNC machined and type III hard anodized. They are built from the ground up for maximum functional performance, ruggedness, ergonomic fit, and finish. Design - The magazine body is a modular assembly, unitized and permanently bonded together for superior strength with no removeable floorplate. All feed lip and follower surfaces have been redesigned for smooth, positive feeding of M855A1 ammunition. Aggressive texture and ribbing cover all manipulation surfaces for positive, no-slip handling in any environment. Ammunition status windows are provided on both sides. A choice of magazine shapes is offered, conventional Flat Bottom or our new unique monopod-use Round Bottom.   Construction - Our advanced design allows for dissimilar resins to be joined together, to put the tensile strength, or high impact resistance in our magazine body where absolutely needed. The MK3 magazine upper component has extreme stiffness for feed lip rigidity and durability. The exposed MK3 magazine lower component features superior impact resistance with no floorplate. Easy, constant feeding is guaranteed by a bright white, anti-tilt low friction follower. A corrosion-free, heat-treated stainless-steel spring rounds out the assembly. Once assembled, all are permanently bonded together with advanced adhesives for decades-long life span. Function - The MK3 slides easily into any single or double M4 style magazine pouch. Extraction is fast and secure with the heavily textured magazine body ‘steps’, manipulation positive with the fore and aft molded-in ridges.
