The TCD1304DG from Toshiba Corporation is a CCD Linear Image Sensor that has 3648 pixels of image sensing elements with a pixel size of 8 µm x 200 µm. It has an electronic shutter function (ICG) that can keep output voltage constant with varying intensities of light. This CCD provides a data rate of 0.5 MHz and has a sensitivity of 160 V/lx.s. It has a highly sensitive PN photodiode with a dynamic range of 300, saturation exposure of 0.004 lx.s that deliver a total transfer efficiency of 95%. This image sensor requires a DC supply of 4 V and has a B/W lamp, 2-phase clock with an internal clamp circuit. It is available in a 22-pin CERDIP package and is ideal for image scanners, laser printers, multi-functional printers, and color copier applications.
