Of these models only the cargo trucks kept rolling off the assembly lines until the end of production in August 1945, as these were the main models to be used for International Aid requirements and delivered to allied nations through Lend-Lease. As 40 % of the Chevrolet 1 ¬Ω-ton 4x4 cargo trucks and most dump trucks served with the U.S. Armed Forces it is hard to understand why these Chevrolet models lived in the shadows of the omnipresent GMC CCKW 2 ¬Ω-ton 6x6 trucks.
