Comment êtes-vous entrée dans la magie ? À quand remonte votre premier déclic ? J’ai toujours aimé les histoires fantastiques et magiques dans les livres, les films et le théâtre depuis que je suis petite. Et j’aimais faire travailler mon imagination. Quand je suis entrée à l’université, à dix-huit ans, j’ai découvert un club de magie dans l’établissement. J’étais enthousiasmée à l’idée que la magie que je voyais uniquement dans les livres ou sur scène puisse être réalisée dans mes propres mains, en fonction de mes idées, et partagée avec d’autres. C’est ainsi que j’ai commencé à apprendre l’art magique auprès de mes aînés universitaires. Mon premier numéro a été la manipulation de cartes à jouer sur scène. Quand avez-vous franchi le premier pas et comment avez-vous appris ? Dans ce club de magie, je me suis exercée aux éventails de cartes. C’est un étudiant senior qui m’a enseigné la pratique et il a été un très bon professeur. Il ne m’a jamais prodigué trop de conseils ou d’instructions, mais m’a appris à m’entraîner tout en réfléchissant et en inventant par moi-même, car chaque personne a une forme de main différente.
