Acu Allied is a Business-to-Business application. It is designed to help acupuncture clinics and acupuncturists to manage patients, schedule appointments, submit insurance, marketing, etc. Before the users (acupuncturists and clinic employees) set up an account with Acu Allied, they are required to sign a business associate agreement. When the users use Acu Allied app for patients’ medical records, patients are required to sign “HIPAA notice” and “Treatment Consent Form” through the app. The app is completely follow HIPAA regulations. In detail, Acu Allied has the following features: 1) Easy-to-use medical record system: it has a clear user interface; it preloads patient information to minimize data input requirements; it provides audio recording and transcription for post-appointment reference. 2) Quick-to-submit insurance billing service: it suggests accurate ICD10 code; it automatically fills appropriate CPT code; it provides one-click insurance submission. 3) Appointment scheduling and reminder: it provides acupuncturists with schedule management across multiple clinics; appointment booking for new and returning patients with efficiency; Acu Allied app also has the email and text message reminding system to reduce No-Show rates of patients’ appointments. 4) Website development and hosting: Acu Allied also provides website development, hosting, and maintenance services for clients, potentially for free.
