Samstag, den 17.12.2022 Loro Parque weiht eine Fledermaushöhle und eine große offene Voliere ein Die Höhle" und "Ozeanien" sind die beiden neuen Installationen, die der Zoo im Jahr seines 50-jährigen Bestehens aufnimmt, sowie eine Büste zu Ehren seiner Gründer: Wolfgang und Brigitte Kiessling. Vorbei ist der 17. Dezember 1972, als der Loro Parque mit 150 Papageien und 25 Angestellten auf 13.000 Quadratmetern seine Pforten öffnete, nachdem er viele Schwierigkeiten überwunden hatte. Ein halbes Jahrhundert später ist sie zu einer der renommiertesten zoologischen Einrichtungen der Welt geworden und hat nicht aufgehört zu wachsen. Derzeit arbeiten dort fast tausend Menschen, und die Gruppe hat weitere Unternehmen wie Siam Park, Poemas del Mar (Gran Canaria), Brunnelli's, Hotel Botánico und die Stiftung Loro Parque übernommen. Anlässlich seines 50-jährigen Bestehens hat der Zoo gestern zwei neue Anlagen, La Gruta und Oceania, eingeweiht, in denen die Besucher Ökosysteme aus der ganzen Welt erleben können.
