Winter Patrol 2024/2025 Summary of Patrol #6 Significant weather warnings were in place between Jan. 20 - 23, which involved high winds and excessive snowfall. Patrol was conducted right after these events. Large snow drifts were found on some properties. One incident was found and is now resolved. There were also two courtesy calls to homeowners as their buildings had excessive snow built up on their roofs. Weather seen at time of patrol Overcast with strong winds from the lake, temperature at -2 C, on day one.  Day two sunny breaks in the morning, with overcast in the afternoon. General comments Incidents It should be noted that for every incident, the patrollers identify the issue as best they can, take pictures, contact the owners, and, if requested, sends photos to the owners.  All of the information is kept/saved both by the patroller and by the Association. Incident #4 for 24/25 A large pool of water was noted in front of a cottage on Alfred Street. It appeared that water was flowing from underground. The patroller was concerned of potential flooding of the cottage and immediately called the homeowner and left a voicemail message, followed up in email with pictures. Because of the urgency, the patroller also called the Township. The homeowner called back later that day to confirm that the problem was resolved. OCWA was able to close a shut-off valve to stop the flooding of water.
