Pitch Speed Calculator is an app designed to calculate the speed of a baseball. How it use: First, set the pitching distance - You can choose from 3 preset distances or enter your own distance (in feet) Next, when the baseball leaves the pitchers hand PRESS and HOLD Blue Button Then, when the ball crosses the strike zone RELEASE the Blue Button The app will calculate the speed of the pitch by taking the pitching distance and dividing it by the time it took the ball to travel and will output the speed in MPH. The app will also display an Average Pitch Speed for the current session. Nice tool for youth baseball coaches to get an estimate of how fast pitchers are throwing!
