Every ordinary traffic cop starts his career with small tasks — checking whether drivers follow the rules of the road. The police officer must work hard and tirelessly to earn bonuses and salary supplements. Yet he is constantly plagued by fears and doubts: will this money ever be enough to turn his “golden dream” into reality? At such moments, he faces a choice: to continue serving the state and the people honestly and with dignity, or to give in to the temptation of corruption and abuse of power. In the latter case, however, it is unlikely that he will make it peacefully to retirement—being caught taking a bribe is all too easy, and then arrest and confiscation of all property become inevitable.
