Fashioned after the 36HP style fan shroud with the added cooling and performance of the late-model doghouse oil cooler. Cooler and mounting flange sold separately. Unlike most other 36HP style shrouds, the Cip1 Premium fan shroud has been redesigned to properly fit the contours of the larger late-model dual port engines. This muffler has 5/16" thick flanges, it's mandrel bent, and MIG Welded from 16ga 1 1/2" mild steel tubing to a 4" formed internally baffled muffler body, on a jig to ensure fitment with NO LEAKS for optimum quality and performance! This muffler is designed to work with stock heater boxes, or replacement J-pipes. This muffler has just been re-designed with wider #2 and #4 Primary Tubes for Heater Hose Clearance (no more burned hoses!), and to fit aftermarket and stock rear aprons on stock or lowered cars! If you get the "Black/Raw" version of this, know that the paint will burn off in under an hour of run time. The ceramic version will keep it's good looks longer. But that said, Ceramic Coating is a life EXTENDER, not a lifetime coating. In other words, you should expect the coating to make the pipes last longer than normal but don't expect the coating to be shiny or to last forever. Normal lifespan varies according to where you live and if you drive the car in the winter in the salt zones. Salt zone, daily driver summer and winter the systems should last about 4 to 5 years normally.Sound; this header/muffler is NOT a quiet muffler. It's about equivalent to a "Glass Pack" but with an entirely deeper tone. Quiet Pack or Hideaway mufflers are much quieter than this style of Muffler.
