Public Parking & Event Shuttles   All public parking in Blowing Rock is free of charge. Blowing Rock’s downtown can get very busy on weekends, particularly in summer and fall. Parking Tips Here are a few parking tips to make your visit to town more enjoyable. Finding a parking space is easiest before 11am and after 5pm. Most spaces off Main Street do not have time limits- get in early and park all day! There are multiple hotels, inns, and rentals within walking distance of downtown. Park at your room- no need to move your vehicle! Prices range widely, so there is an easy-parking stay for all budgets. In summer and fall, weekdays are the best time to visit for easy parking and fewer crowds. On event weekends some local organizations, like Blowing Rock School and Rumple Church, may charge a small fee for parking in their lots so bring a little cash to make this option easier.   Park & Ride: Free parking shuttles during Art in the Park, July 4th Weekend and Christmas in the Park A free parking shuttle is available for all downtown visitors during each Art in the Park show, the 4th of July parade Saturday, and the Christmas in the Park event & parade. All downtown visitors are encouraged to park at Shoppes on the Parkway and ride the comfy passenger coach to Main Street. The shuttle runs from 10am to 5pm on each show date.
