A long story.  More than ten generations of wire brought us to the 2025 standard for design, metallurgy, and insulation.  Our OCC story began in 2009 when we first experimented with nascent, preexisting continuous-cast copper wires - unsuitable for headphone cables despite their audible promise.  After our first custom OCC copper headphone wire was an instant classic, we moved onto higher-performing litz variants before launching the world's first OCC silver litz headphone cable in 2012, setting the standard that persists to this day.  Silver Peptide, the DHC wire that started it all, has now reached its potential. The search.  Ideal silver, unsurprisingly, is hard to find.  So hard to find, that we've had far more failed prototypes than successful ones.  Nothing short of a very long term relationship with OCC metals pioneers - a factory run by audiophiles, making small adjustments and iterations over the course of our time in business - has allowed for a silver wire that has universal matchability to a diverse selection of gear.  A good silver has to be unequivocally more likeable than one's favorite copper cable - as it already has to face greater scrutiny due to preconceived notions of how silver is supposed to sound - while offering superior detail and resolution to copper.  This silver offers unexpected listening comfort and natural sound while prioritizing technicalities, realism and timbre.  Beyond sound, durability and ergonomics are the sine qua non of headphone cables - the proprietary insulation correctly balances heat-tolerance, shape memory, colorfastness, and scratch resistance among other necessary qualities.
