We developed this set for Swordshop with input from HEMA instructor Nick Thomas to represent a faithful reproduction of 16th century munitions armour. This set is optimized for use with HEMA padded jackets but can also be worn with historical doublets as well. The sizing is based on the Supfen size charts and is meant to be worn over a similar-sized padded HEMA jacket.The breastplate is a representation of a Peascod style commonly found in Europe in the 16th century. This belly shape is practical and allows for great amounts of deflection from strikes and thrusts. The pauldrons are highly articulated and mobile allowing for a full range of motion.Set includes chest and shoulders.Currently in stock is our 16 gauge mild steel version.
