The Hamburg Music School, integrates architecture with the natural environment, embedding the building within the existing trees on site. The project fosters a connection between music education and the surrounding landscape, using a transparent façade to create a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces. The waiting area for students is conceived as an outdoor-like experience, reinforcing the idea of “teaching under trees.”The school is divided into two main sections: a public area, which includes a café and lecture rooms, and a private area with classrooms and administrative spaces. A carefully designed entrance connects both areas while allowing for independent use. The building’s material palette features red and yellow brickwork, steel-glass construction, and colored metal panels on the street façade. The structural elements, inspired by tree branches, metaphorically link the building to its natural surroundings.With a design approach that emphasizes light, color, and spatial fluidity, the Hamburg Music School embodies the vibrancy of music education and serves as a landmark for the city’s cultural landscape.
