Beinahe 30 Prozent der in Deutschland lebenden Menschen haben einen sogenannten Migrationshintergrund. In diesem Bevölkerungsanteil verbirgt sich jedoch eine große Heterogenität, die wiederum mit unterschiedlichen Interessenlagen verbunden ist. Im Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Marc Debus (Mannheim) wird der Frage nachgegangen, ob Individuen mit spezifischen ethnischen Hintergründen – sprich: etwa einem türkischen, italienischen, russischem oder russland-deutschen – unterschiedliche Werte und Einstellungen vertreten und ob diese Gruppenzugehörigkeit das Wahlverhalten und die Parteipräferenz beeinflusst. In einem zweiten Schritt wird diskutiert, ob politische Eliten mit Migrationshintergrund dazu tendieren, die Interessen von Migranten verstärkt im politischen Prozess zu repräsentieren. Die Veranstaltung fand am 8. Dezember 2025 in der Württembergischen Landesbibliothek Stuttgart statt.
