A morte descendente causada por fungos do gênero Lasiodiplodia é uma importante doença da aceroleira na região semiárida do Brasil. Informações sobre a influência de fungicidas em espécies de Lasidiodiplodia da aceroleira é desconhecido. Sendo assim a DE50 (dose efetiva para reduzir o crescimento micelial em 50% de sete espécies de Lasiodiplodia foi estimada in vitro para o fungicida tiofanato metílico. A temperatura ótima salinidade e componentes de adaptabilidade, também foram mensuradas para as espécies. A DE50 para o fungicida MBC variou de 0,742 a 2,702 µg.mL-1. Dentre as sete espécies estudadas, a L. pseudotheobromae e L. iraniensis, apresentaram maior sensibilidade ao tiofanato metílico, seguidos por L. brasiliense, L. gonubiensis, L. euphorbicola e L. hormozganensis, que numa escala relativa de sensibilidade são as espécies moderadamente sensíveis e, por fim, L. theobromae foi a espécie menos sensível ao fungicida. Em temperaturas extremas (10 e 40°C) as espécies de Lasiodiplodia não se desenvolveram. A temperatura ótima para o crescimento micelial das espécies de Lasiodiplodia isoladas de aceroleira foi 25,3°C. Para a espécie L. brasiliense, houve indicação de custos de adaptabilidade. Essa espécie, moderadamente sensível ao tiofanato metílico, apresentou maior crescimento micelial em condições de alto estresse salino. As demais espécies não apresentaram custos de adaptação.
