General FAQs: Q How do I apply for housing?+ A If you are a UIS Student, you will need to follow the New Student Application Process. If you are a Non-UIS Student applying to live on campus, you will need to follow the Approved Affiliate Housing Application Process located at the bottom of the page. (UIC Nursing students, ISU Nursing students, and Interns) Q When do I receive my assignment and roommate information?+ A If you apply before June 17th, you will receive your assignment and roommate information on July 6th via UIS email. If you apply for housing after June 17th, you will receive your assignment and roommate information via UIS email approximately 1-2 weeks after you apply. Q How do I contact my roommate?+ A Login to the Student Housing Portal and you will be directed to the application summary page where you will see your room assignment and roommate information. To email your roommates, simply type in your roommate/suitemates name in outlook and outlook will generate their email.
