Benefits of the Intake Manifold for Big Turbo or Hybrid Applications The larger-volume intake manifold is widely used in racing applications, as it offers significant advantages over the factory plastic intake: a) The forged aluminum construction provides much greater strength compared to plastic and does not crack under high turbo pressures. b) The larger plenum stores more air, which is delivered during the intake valve opening, increasing air supply to the engine. c) The intake runners have a conical shape, increasing airflow velocity into the cylinder head, resulting in better engine filling, even at low RPMs. d) Aluminum does not deform under thermal stress, unlike plastic, preventing air leaks during operation. e) Allows for the installation of a larger throttle body and bigger intake piping for improved airflow. f) Supports the installation of a methanol injection kit with four injectors for additional cooling and performance gains. g) The fuel rail features a larger internal diameter and threads for increased fuel flow. h) In addition to performance benefits, it is a stunning product that enhances the appearance of the engine bay.
