花東是台灣最後一塊淨土，尤其原住民文化是花東的重要資源，他們是天生打造出來，讓都市人可以謙卑學習如何與大自然共處與生活的最佳老師。在這個自然、生態、原住民文化豐富的地方，許多年輕人卻為了工作不得不離開家鄉，於是，公益平台努力耕耘的是，為離家遊子「保留一條回家的路」。 2010年起進入部落輔導時，我們發現部落有非常嚴重的中空現象，青壯年為尋求就業機會，往往須離鄉背井到城市發展，部落只剩下老人與小孩，形成隔代教養的普遍現象。為結構性改善這個問題，我們深入部落核心，蹲下來，傾聽他們的聲音，了解需求，在適當的時間提供必要的資源，一路伴護學習及面對課題。透過部落輔導、民宿管家培訓、部落旅遊整合及國際人才培訓等面向，以「給予釣竿、教導釣魚，並將魚群引來」，創造在地就業機會，讓部落及個人找到自信與尊嚴，為離鄉或在鄉的青年找到一條永續生存的「回家之路」，從棉麻屋、比西里岸、鸞山、巴歌浪到真柄，我們協助具有發展潛質的在地產業打造一個可以發光的舞台。 走過上述的單一店家輔導，2017年底起，公益平台連結台東長濱和花蓮豐濱（雙濱）地區的業者，整合資源，促成彼此合作，並於2022年正式以「雙濱共好」的品牌，推動永續旅遊。 嚴長壽董事長一直認為原住民的文化體驗，不應該只侷限在一群人穿著傳統服飾，和聲一起跳著傳統舞蹈，更可以帶著旅客上山、下海，體驗不同的原住民的山林智慧，以一種分享自己的文化，生態與生活，訴說自己的故事的方式接待所有的旅客。透過結合在地青年的力量，讓台東以自己獨特的方式慢慢發展。愈來愈多的花東青年，為自己，也為將來的部落下一代，找到一條回鄉的路，以及留鄉的理由。
