Falco W&B is a weight & balance app designed specifically for for the Frati F.8L Falco, both factory-built and homebuilt. The Falco is somewhat unusual in having its fuel carried in fuel tanks fore and aft of the cockpit. This makes fuel management an important part of maintaining safe center-of-gravity control during flight. This app provides a useful planning tool for the Falco pilot, providing a graphical presentation of the results of loading and fuel use choices on aircraft weight and balance. In addition to fuel, baggage and crew weights, the pilot can vary the fuel use between tanks and when to switch between tanks during the flight. The user may use either the iPad keyboard or special sliders to input data. Screenshots may be saved to the iPad's Photos app and printed on AirPrint-capable printers. An in-app preferences screen allows the user to customize the app with the characteristics of their Falco, set default values for all inputs, and choose whether to use English or metric units, sliders or a keypad for data entry, and what type of keypad.
