Next Companion provides GPS data from your iPhone to your Wi-Fi only iPad running the ‘Next Car Dashboard’ app. GPS is required by Next to provide you with your drive in sights, speed, acceleration, maps, navigation, trips, and etc. This app is only required if you are using ‘Next Car Dashboard’ on a Wi-Fi only iPad which do not have inbuilt GPS. Cellular iPads do not require the ‘Next Companion’ app as they have inbuilt GPS. Transfer of GPS data from ‘Next Companion’ on your iPhone to ‘Next Car Dashboard’ on your iPad happens via Bluetooth. Privacy - Your location data never leaves your device. The app does not collect any personal information.
