Klasyczne brzmienie fuzz'a najczęściej związane jest z tranzystorami germanowymi. Ze względu na to, iż od lat nie są już produkowane, ich dostępność jest co raz mniejsza i niebawem spadnie do zera. Fuzz'y na popularnych tranzystorach krzemowych nie brzmią niestety tak dobrze ze względu na ich ogromne wzmocnienie (typowo 300-600 a nie 80-120 jak w tranzystorach germanowych) co powoduje, że dźwięk jest bardziej ostry i jazgoczący a nie przybrudzony i okrągły jak w klasycznych konstrukcjach. Przetestowałem zatem ok 100 typów tranzystorów krzemowych i znalazłem fantastyczną alternatywę dla germanowych AC128 tranzystor 2n2369 o wzmocnieniu z przedziału 80-120. Dzięki nim udało się osiągnąć świetne brzmienie, tłuste i okrągłe bez denerwujących zniekształceń w górnym paśmie. Płyta PCB. Wymiary 45mm x 26mm.
