Комплект обеспечивает глубокое практическое освоение ключевых дисциплин: принципов действия и настройки устройств релейной защиты, систем автоматики электроэнергетических систем (АВР, АПВ), а также методов контроля и анализа показателей качества электроэнергии (ПКЭ). Оборудование моделирует реальные процессы, происходящие в электрических сетях и на подстанциях, включая нормальные, аварийные и послеаварийные режимы. Конструкция выполнена в виде стойки с устанавливаемыми модулями, смонтированной на собственном лабораторном столе. Каждый модуль выполняет строго определённую функцию: моделирование источников питания, линии электропередачи (ЛЭП), трансформатора, нагрузок, коммутационных аппаратов, а также содержит измерительные приборы и устройства защиты.
