This app narrates Tao Te Ching/Daode Jing by Lao Tzu/Laozi in Mandarin and English. It also comes with hanyu pinyin assistance and English translation by James Legge (1891) for every verse in the classic chinese text. Great for students learning Lao Tzu's work. Function： "Single click" on each verse to narrate that verse. "Long click" on the verse to select text (to link to web-search or dictionary) clicking the "拼" icon toggles the pinyin assistance. clicking the"简体/繁體" icon toggles between simplified/traditional text. Press the "Play" button to start automatic dictation of the poem. Press the "Pause" button to pause the narration. The Tao Te Ching, along with the Zhuangzi, is a fundamental text for both philosophical and religious Taoism. It also strongly influenced other schools of Chinese philosophy and religion, including Legalism, Confucianism, and Buddhism, which was largely interpreted through the use of Taoist words and concepts when it was originally introduced to China.
