Supporting actor U Aung Thar died on a bus this morning while waiting to return to Yangon from Nay Pyi Taw after attending Myanmar’s Academy Award ceremony yesterday. “He was a supporting actor. This morning, he died on the bus just after 8am today,” said an official from Myanmar Motion Picture Association. The artistes who would be attending the ceremony were accommodated at the sports stadium in Nay Pyi Taw.
