Sparkasse Bank Malta plc has released an Authentication Application that has removed the need for a physical token to be used when accessing and transacting on your account(s) using the Bank’s Online Banking System. Spar Key enables a more secure and efficient environment for Sparkasse Bank Malta plc’s clients throughout the following processes: • Logging-in into the Bank’s Online Banking System; • Authorising the release of Payment Instructions; and • Authorising the release of Securities related orders. Spar Key has been developed in compliance with the requirements on Strong Customer Authentication stemming from ‘the EU’s Payment Services Directive II (PSD II)’.
