You’ll need to be registered for online banking with Yorkshire Building Society, and we need your up-to-date mobile number. Once you’ve downloaded the mobile app, it takes just a couple of minutes to set yourself up and get started. * Open the app and enter your YBS online banking login details (customer number), date of birth and three random characters from your online account password. * You’ll receive a text message or phone call from us with your verification code. * Enter this code into the app – You’re registered. It couldn’t be easier. * Next, we’ll ask you to set up Touch ID, Face ID or a six-digit passcode. And that’s it! Frequently asked questions Do I have to be a YBS customer to use the app? Yes. To use the app you need to be an existing YBS customer and have registered your account for online banking. If you are a YBS customer but not yet registered for online banking, the process is quick and easy. Yes, you can use both online services to access your savings and mortgage account, whichever is most convenient at the time. Is the YBS app secure? Yes. The app has been built with industry-standard security practices in place. You can only access the app via your secure passcode or biometric credentials and the app does not store any account information locally on your device.
