The program is directed towards the skill-building and practice of tropical medicine and community healthcare delivery. This program also provides opportunities for engaging in research through focused projects in the field. There is an emphasis on tropical diseases, infections, surveillance and informatics in healthcare. This program is designed in a way so it’s helpful for new graduates as well as healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare workers. After the completion of this program, students are expected to have a thorough understanding of tropical diseases, the causal relationships and the societal burden of all tropical diseases. Since most of the tropical diseases are infections or infestations, tropical medicine specialists are expected to have strong knowledge of infectious diseases. What You Will Study The program is comprised of 138 ECTS credits and can be completed in about 18 months. This part of your studies only includes coursework.  This is followed by the completion of additional 72 credits via coursework and 24 credits via dissertation under the guidance of a mentor.
