E-MU EMAX for sale: The E-mu Emax is a polyphonic sampler made in the USA in 1986. It offers 8 polyphonic channels. Once the sample is cut or simply recorded, the editing is done like on an analog synthesizer with real analog filters and amps. For those who are not used to using a sampler, you will find the usual parameters of an analog synthesizer: resonance, cutoff filter setting, Attack Decay envelope settings, a LFO... The Emax is 8 Channels multitimbral (able to play different sounds at the same time), it has a superb arpegiattor, a sequencer and 8 separate analog outputs. The Emax record samples in 12-Bit with a frequency range of 10 kHz to 42 kHz. The sound of the Emax has a lot of punch and character, it is the last E-Mu sampler with analog filters and amplifiers and it is the one that offers the most possibilities of editing and sculpting the sound. The internal memory is 512K and the samples are stored on floppy disks. Our opinion is that the E-Mu Emax is the best choice of the E-Mu Vintage samplers because of the quality of its sound and the enormous possibilities of the machine. It should also be noted that the sound banks available for the emax are immense and include the most famous sounds from the previous EMULATOR samplers, including very famous sounds used in many hits and film soundtracks from the 80's to the 2000's. The E-MU Emax sampler/synthesizer has and is used by artists such as: Depeche Mode, Clipping, Solvent, Orbital, Legowelt, Nine Inch Nails, Beastie Boys...
