Identify plants and animals from a photo Take a new picture with the camera or choose an existing image from your photo library. A clear image with the subject in focus can make it easier to compare leaves, flowers, fruit, feathers, body color, markings, shape, and other visible traits. Compare more than one possible match Many species resemble one another, so BioAtlas presents candidates rather than treating one name as an unquestionable conclusion. Candidate cards include common names, scientific names, images, and useful context. Compare them with the location, habitat, season, size, color, and form you observed, then open the closest candidate to review more field-guide details. VIP offers higher allowances and removes ads; exact benefits and local prices appear in the in-app store.
