How often do you use a dictionary while watching a movie, reading a book or a web article in a foreign language? Probably often. Do you recall all those words or phrases which you used a dictionary for in 1 week? Probably not. You can use many applications: dictionaries, translators, memory cards and so on to build your vocabulary. Anyway it would require some manual work to recognize different word forms, phrases and idioms.
