The interactive mobile application Velo Romania is part of the national eVelo Platform, together with a website dedicated to the National Velo Coordination Center (CNCV) which is the beneficiary of Investment I3 (Milestone 341) from Component 11 - Tourism and culture from PNRR. The digitization of the cycling routes identified in the Study on the establishment, identification and territorial distribution of cycling routes at the national level by creating a digital application for smart phones aims to develop a sustainable transport system by developing the infrastructure of cycling routes. Velo Romania mobile application provides general and specific information for the users of cycling routes, supporting travel planning, also from a tourist perspective. The coordination of the application development process is ensured by CNCV, to be periodically updated with information about the national velo network, including the administrators of routes/tracks (County Councils, NGOs in partnership with the UATs, etc.).
